The meaning behind the shirt

A lamb to the slaughter
The first time Jesus came to earth, it was in meekness. He was sent to become the sacrifice that would make atonement for the sins of all mankind. To do this, He would come like a lamb -being led to the slaughter. He was Betrayed (crossed) by a friend, and then murdered by the very ones He came to save.
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open his mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. ~Isaiah 53:7
This prophecy in Isaiah foreshadows Jesus who would be given for our sins.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ~Galatians 1:3-5
A lion when He returns
Jesus is coming back soon. But this time He will not come as a sacrifice, that was done once for all times. When He returns, it will be as King... not meek as the lamb, but fierce as the Lion!
This is what the LORD says to me: "As a lion growls, a great lion over his prey-- and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against him, he is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor-- so the LORD Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights. ~Isaiah 31:4
No cross this time around
As the lamb, Jesus was betrayed by a close friend (He was crossed). That betrayal would lead to His crucifixion ('crossed' again).
The leaders of that day stood against Jesus with the full approval of the people. They did everything they wanted to Him, and though He had a legion of angles at His disposal, He went quietly -as a lamb to the slaughter. This was the sacrifice made atonement for the sin of the world; the purpose of His first advent.
He promised to return, and He does, He will not be coming to die again (as a sacrifice). He is returning to claim His rightful kingdom (the earth) and He the pages of Scripture seem to infer that He is not going to take it quietly. He is coming to rule the earth with an iron scepter (see Revelation 19:15). This simply means that all who try to prevent Him from taking His kingdom will fail; or simply put: no one will cross Him this time!
They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers." ~Revelation 17:14
